Riola Sardo, 11 e 12 Aprile 2026 – Il GP di Sardegna corso sull’impegnativo tracciato dal fondo sabbioso di Riola Sardo è stato il primo di due GP che si correranno in Italia.
Il crossodromo Le Dune come al solito ha messo tutti a dura prova, compresi i nostri Cas Valk ed Andrea Uccellini.
Per Cas Valk il quarto appuntamento iridato della MX2 è iniziato con il time practice che lo ha visto chiudere con il 13° tempo. Proprio in quella posizione si è schierato al cancelletto della manche di qualifica che lo ha visto transitare nei primi giri a ridosso della top ten, poi verso metà gara un problema tecnico lo ha limitato ed al traguardo è transitato in 14° posizione.
Domenica al via della prima manche Cas è scattato a centro gruppo ma nel corso del primo giro è riuscito a passare diversi avversari per settimo. Cas ha tentato di passare chi lo precedeva per diversi giri, poi ha perso un po’ il contatto e sono arrivati due piloti che lo hanno sorpassato nelle ultime battute. Al traguardo per Cas un buon 9° posto.
La seconda manche lo ha visto scattare dal cancello oltre la top ten e poi dopo alcuni passaggi dove ha tentato di risalire è rientrato ai box per un problema tecnico.
Con questi risultati Cas ora occupa la 12° posizione in campionato, arretrando così rispetto all’ultima prova.
CAS VALK: “Non è stato il miglior fine settimana. Non abbiamo iniziato bene con alcune scelte sbagliate di setup, siamo riusciti a migliorare ogni volta in pista e gara uno è stata la migliore del fine settimana. Purtroppo alcuni problemi nella seconda manche non mi hanno permesso di finire la gara. Continuiamo così e ci vediamo ad Arco!“.
Cas Valk #172
Andrea Uccellini ha subito iniziato nella maniera giusta il suo weekend cogliendo il terzo tempo del suo gruppo di qualifica della EMX125. Nel pomeriggio di sabato si è corsa gara uno che ha visto Andrea scattare male dal cancello per poi essere coinvolto in una caduta alla prima curva. Ripartito ultimissimo ha dato il via ad una rimonta strepitosa che lo ha portato dopo una lunga serie di sorpassi fino al 10° posto.
Nella seconda manche di domenica mattina la storia si è ripetuta. Altro brutto avvio e conseguente rimonta. A metà gara era a già a ridosso dei primi dieci ma negli ultimi giri un problema tecnico lo ha rallentato e di conseguenza gli ha fatto perdere qualche posizione. Alla bandiera a scacchi è transitato in 13° posizione.
A fine giornata, nell’assoluta del GP, Andrea ha chiuso al 10° posto ed ora, dopo tre prove, occupa ancora il 5° posto nel campionato.
ANDREA UCCELLINI: “Ho avuto da subito un buon feeling con il tracciato e nelle qualifiche ho ottenuto il terzo tempo senza un giro “pulito”. Nella prima manche in un contatto alla prima curva sono caduto e per ripartire ci ho messo parecchio perché avevo un forte dolore al gomito. Nonostante ciò sono riuscito a fare una bella rimonta che mi ha portato fino alla decima posizione. In gara due altra partenza sbagliata e altra rimonta, questa volta ero messo meglio ma un problema mi ha fatto rallentare e terminare 13°. Poteva andare molto meglio ma sono felice di come ho guidato, la classifica fortunatamente è ancora corta e tutto è possibile. Ad Arco cercherò sicuramente di fare molto meglio. Grazie al team, alla TM ed a tutti i nostri sostenitori“.

L’occasione per riscattarsi arriverà ben presto, sabato e domenica prossima al Ciclamino di Arco di Trento si disputerà il GP del Trentino, prossimo appuntamento sia del mondiale che dell’europeo.

Riola Sardo, 11 and 12 April 2026 – The Sardinian GP held on the challenging sandy surface of Riola Sardo was the first of two GPs that will be held in Italy.Asusual, the Le Dune cross-track put everyone to the test, including our Cas Valk and Andrea Uccellini.
For Cas Valk the fourth MX2 world championship event began with time practice which saw him finish in 13th place. Precisely in that position he lined up at the gate of the qualifying heat which saw him close to the top ten in the first laps, then towards the middle of the race a technical problem limited him and he ended up in 14th position at the finish line.At the start of the first heat on Sunday Cas started in the middle of the group but during the first lap he managed to pass several opponents for seventh. Cas tried to pass those in front of him for several laps, then he lost contact a bit and two riders arrived and overtook him in the final stages. At the finish line for Cas a good 9th place.The second heat saw him sprint from the gate beyond the top ten and then after a few laps where he attempted to move up he returned to the pits due to a technical problem.With these results Cas now occupies 12th position in the championship, thus falling back compared to the last round.
CAS VALK: “It wasn’t the best weekend. We didn’t start well with some wrong setup choices, we managed to improve every time on the track and race one was the best of the weekend. Unfortunately, some problems in the second heat didn’t allow me to finish the race. Let’s continue like this and see you in Arco!”.
Andrea Uccellini immediately started his weekend in the right way by taking the third fastest time in his EMX125 qualifying group. On Saturday afternoon, race one took place which saw Andrea get off to a bad start from the gate and then be involved in a fall at the first corner. Having restarted very last, he began an amazing comeback which took him up to 10th place after a long series of overtakings.In the second heat on Sunday morning, history repeated itself. Another bad start and subsequent comeback. Halfway through the race he was already close to the top ten but in the final laps a technical problem slowed him down and consequently caused him to lose some positions. At the checkered flag he finished in 13th position.At the end of the day, in the GP overall, Andrea finished in 10th place and now, after three tests, he still occupies 5th place in the championship.
ANDREA UCCELLINI: “I immediately had a good feeling with the track and in qualifying I got the third time without a “clean” lap. In the first heat I fell in a contact at the first corner and it took me a long time to get back on track because I had severe pain in my elbow. Despite this I managed to make a good comeback which took me up to tenth position. In race two another wrong start and another comeback, this time I was in better shape but a problem made me slow down and finish 13th. go much better but I’m happy with how I rode, fortunately the classification is still short and everything is possible in Arco I will definitely try to do much better. The opportunity to redeem himself will come soon, next Saturday and Sunday at the Ciclamino in Arco di Trento the Trentino GP will be held, the next round of both the world championship and the European championship.
