Loket teatro del GP della Rep. Ceca, segna il tredicesimo round del mondiale motocross. Dopo un eccellente secondo posto nella manche di qualifica del sabato, Adamo non riesce a ripetersi gara e si classifica decimo di giornata. Forato, al rientro dopo la lunga assenza per infortunio, a punti solo in gara 2.

A tre settimane di distanza dalla trasferta indonesiana, il FIM Motocross World Championship riprende il suo cammino con il tredicesimo round in calendario. Il tracciato designato ad ospitare l’evento è quello di Loket, da anni tappa fissa del mondiale motocross.
Per l’SM Action GasGas Racing Team Yuasa Battery, al fianco del giovane siciliano Andrea Adamo #80 schierato in MX2, torna anche Alberto Forato #303, guarito dalla frattura al perone subita nel round francese di Ernée.
Il sabato di Andrea, nella quarto di litro, inizia con un 8° tempo nelle libere ed un 9° tempo nelle cronometrate. Nella manche di qualifica però, il siciliano centra un’ottima partenza. Subito 1° dopo un perfetto holeshot, si ritrova 3° a conclusione del primo passaggio. Nel corso del secondo giro, Andrea recupera una posizione approfittando dell’errore del leader della corsa e con autorevolezza, conclude la manche con un ottimo 2° posto, centrando la sua migliore qualifica in questa stagione 2022. Per quanto riguarda la prestazione di Alberto nella classe regina, il veneto centra subito l’8° tempo nelle libere per poi classificarsi 7° al termine delle cronometrate. Nella manche di qualifica, Forato porta a termine una discreta qualifica e dal 12° posto iniziale, chiude 11°.
Nella prima manche della MX2, Andrea si ritrova 6° dopo la partenza ma una sassata nel corso della seconda tornata gli procura alcuni taglia al viso e condiziona tutto il suo rendimento in gara. Nella parte centrale della corsa, il siciliano si assesta in 8a posizione per poi tagliare il traguardo come 9°. Nella seconda manche, Andrea parte a centro gruppo ma prima della fine del giro iniziale, rimane coinvolto in una caduta che lo arretra di numerose posizioni. Con determinazione, il siciliano utilizza le diciannove tornare di gara per mettere in atto una decisa rimonta che gli consegna il 10° posto. Con i due risultati odierni, Adamo centra la ‘top 10’ di giornata occupando l’ultimo posto disponibile. In classifica generale, perde una posizione e si ritrova 7°.
La prima frazione della MXGP, vede transitare Alberto in 18a posizione, dopo le prime caotiche fasi di gara. Per tutta la durata della corsa, il veneto non riesce mai ad avvicinarsi sensibilmente alla ‘top 10’ ma grazie a qualche sorpasso portato al termine, trascorre gran parte della corsa in 15a posizione. A due giri dal termine però, un errore su un salto gli procura la rottura di una ruota. Costretto a rallentare, cede numerose posizioni e sul traguardo si ritrova 24°. Nella seconda ed ultima frazione, la partenza di Alberto è pressoché simile a quella di gara 1 così come la sua progressione per aggiudicarsi un posto all’interno della ‘top 20’. Questa volta però, il veneto non commette errori e giunge al traguardo 16°. Con soli cinque punti guadagnati, centra la ‘top 20’ di giornata aggiudicandosi il 20° posto. In classifica generale, è attualmente 14°.
Senza weekend di sosta, la carovana del FIM Motocross World Championship si sposta dalla Rep. Ceca al Belgio dove sul tracciato sabbioso di Lommel, si terrà il GP delle Fiandre. Con in gara anche i ragazzi della EMX250, torneranno in pista anche Federico Tuani #3 e Luca Ruffini #669.
Andrea Adamo #80: “E’ stato un weekend che non ha rispettato le aspettative, dopo un ottimo sabato. Purtroppo in gara 1 nel corso del secondo giro ho ricevuto una sassata da un pilota che mi precedeva la quale mi ha procurato alcuni taglia la viso. In gara 2 dopo una discreta partenza all’interno della ‘top 10’ sono caduto e ho dovuto rimontare dal 34° posto.”

Loket hosted the 13th round of the Motocross World Championship with the GP of Czech Republic. After an excellent 2nd place in Qualifying Race on Saturday, Adamo was not able to repeat the performance in the races, so he finished 10th Overall. Forato, who was eventually back after his injury, gained points only in Race 2.
After three weeks since the Overseas round in Indonesia, FIM Motocross World Championship restarted its way with Round 13 of the calendar. The circuit that hosted the event was Loket, since many years the real landmark of the World Championship.
SM Action GasGas Racing Team Yuasa Battery, other than the young Sicilian Andrea Adamo #80 in the MX2, also deployed Alberto Forato #303, who finally healed from the fibula injury that he suffered at Ernée in France
Andrea’s Saturday, in the quarter-of-liter class, started with the 8th position in Free Practice and the 9th in Timed Practice. In the Qualifying Race though, the Sicilian made an excellent start. He took the lead in turn 1 as he made the holeshot, and he was in P3 after the first lap. During lap 2 Andrea then made up one place, as he took advantage of a mistake made by the leader of the race, and he authoritatively finished the race with a great P2, which was the best qualifying of his 2022 season. Alberto, in the Top Class, was 8th in Free Practice and 7th in Timed Practice. In Qualifying Race Forato made a discrete result as he started in P12 and finished in P11.
In MX2 Race 1 Andrea finds himself 6th after the start but a stone during the second round causes him some cuts to his face and affects his entire performance in the race. In the central part of the race, the Sicilian settles in 8th position and then crosses the finish line as 9th. In Race 2 Andrea started in the middle of the group, but before the end of lap 1 he was involved in a group crash and he moved back a lot. With a lot of grit, the Sicilian took the 19 laps of the race to make a great comeback that awarded him with the 10th place. With the results obtained, Adamo entered in the “top 10” as he finished 10th Overall. In the General Classification he lost one place and he is now in P7.
In MXGP Race 1 Alberto was in P18 after the first chaotic moments of the race. For the whole race the rider from Veneto could not try to get closer to the “top 10”, but thanks to a few overtakes he passed a lot of time in P15. Two laps from the end, however, a mistake on a jump causes him to break a wheel. Forced to slow down, he gives up numerous positions and finds himself 24th on the finish line. In Race 2 Alberto made a similar start to Race 1, as well as the progression to gain a position in the “top 20”. This time, though, the rider from Veneto did not make any mistakes and he finished the race in 16th position. With only 5 points gained, he entered the “top 20” Overall as he finished in P20. In the General Classification he is 14th at the moment.
With no weekends of stop, the FIM Motocross World Championship will move from Czech Republic to Belgium, at Lommel, the sand surfaced track that will host the GP of Flanders. The riders of the EMX250 will race too, so Federico Tuani #3 and Luca Ruffini #669 will be there.
Andrea Adamo # 80: “It was a weekend that didn’t meet expectations, after an excellent Saturday. Unfortunately in race 1 during the second lap I received a stone from a driver in front of me which caused me some face cuts. In race 2 after a decent start in the ‘top 10’ I crashed and had to recover from 34th place.”
