MURRIETA, California – Il pilota del Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Marvin Musquin continua il suo recupero dall’infortunio al polso subito prima del round di San Diego dello scorso fine settimana del campionato AMA Supercross 2023.

Il 33enne purtroppo si è infortunato mentre si allenava e, a seguito di quell’incidente, salterà anche il primo evento Triple Crown della stagione di questo sabato ad Anaheim 2 il 28 gennaio.
Si prevede che Musquin – che è arrivato quarto nel campionato dello scorso anno – salterà almeno i prossimi round della stagione a questo punto, in attesa di ulteriori conferme sull’entità dell’infortunio al polso sinistro.
Marvin Musquin: “Avere questo infortunio, che si è verificato mercoledì scorso allenandosi, così all’inizio della stagione non è l’ideale. Ti prepari per tre mesi e correre solo una gara ad Anaheim e farti male è ovviamente deludente. In questo momento tutto quello che posso fare è aspettare e fare tutto il possibile per guarire. Ci sono lividi alle ossa e una brutta distorsione, ma il tempo in cui starò fuori è un po’ sconosciuto. Andrò avanti giorno dopo giorno, settimana dopo settimana, e vedrò come va. Questo è tutto quello che posso fare in questo momento.”
Anaheim 2 vedrà Cooper Webb con i colori Red Bull KTM Factory Racing entrare nel round al secondo posto nella classifica a punti in sella alla sua KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, mentre il compagno di squadra della 450SX Aaron Plessinger è attualmente nono e Maximus Vohland è 12esimo nella 250SX West.

Marvin Musquin injury update
MURRIETA, Calif. – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Marvin Musquin continues to recover from a wrist injury sustained prior to last weekend’s San Diego round of the 2023 AMA Supercross Championship.
The 33-year-old unfortunately sustained the injury while practicing and, as a result of that incident, will also sit out this Saturday’s first Triple Crown event of the season at Anaheim 2 on January 28.
It is expected that Musquin – who finished fourth in last year’s series – will at least miss the next few rounds of the season at this point, as he awaits further confirmation on the extent of the injury to his left wrist.
Marvin Musquin: “To have this injury that happened last Wednesday practicing this early in the season is not ideal. You prepare yourself for three months and to only race one race at Anaheim and get hurt is obviously disappointing. Right now all that I can do is wait and do everything I can to heal. There’s bone bruising and a bad sprain, but the time that I will be out for is a little bit unknown. I’ll go by feeling, day after day, week after week, and see how it goes. That’s all I can do right now.”
Anaheim 2 will see Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Cooper Webb enter the round positioned second in the point-standings equipped with his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, as 450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger currently sits ninth and Maximus Vohland is 12th in 250SX West.
