Nella splendida cornice di Matterley Basin, in Inghilterra, va in scena la seconda prova del Campionato Mondiale 2021 MXGP.

La pista inglese, caratterizzata da un fondo duro con tratti velocissimi e in alcuni casi molto tecnici, ha visto l’esordio del francese Jimmy Clochet nel Mondiale dopo il recupero dal suo infortunio mentre Jeremy Van Horebeek si è subito dimostrato molto fiducioso dopo l’ottimo inizio di stagione.
Nelle prove ufficiali, i due piloti Beta non sono riusciti a trovare il giro giusto, ed hanno perso molto tempo prezioso a causa del traffico, Jeremy Van Horebeek ha chiuso le sue prove al 15° posto e Clochet 31°.

In gara 1 Jeremy non è riuscito a trovare lo spunto ideale all’abbassarsi del cancello e ha perso molto tempo alla prima curva, anche se attardato il pilota Belga è poi riuscito a recuperare fino alla 15° piazza. Clochet a causa di un problema tecnico è stato costretto al ritiro.
La seconda manche ha visto Van Horebeek tra i protagonisti, la sua partenza è stata ottima e Jeremy è rimasto nel gruppo dei migliori sin dalla prima curva. Con un ottimo passo gara ha quindi concluso con un’eccezionale ottava posizione. Anche la seconda manche è stata sfortunata invece per Jimmy Clochet, che a causa di una pietra che si è incastrata nella catena è stato di nuovo costretto al ritiro.
Grazie ai due risultati, Jeremy Van Horebeek e la sua Beta RX, hanno chiuso in undicesima posizione assoluta.
Appuntamento il prossimo fine settimana con la prima delle due gare, per il Team SDM Beta Racing, sulla pista di Maggiora (IT).

MXGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2021 GREAT BRITAIN
In the splendid setting of Matterley Basin in England, took place the second round of the 2021 MXGP World Championship is staged.
The English track, characterized by a hard surface with very fast and technical sections, saw the debut in the World Championship for the French rider Jimmy Clochet after recovering from his injury while Jeremy Van Horebeek immediately showed great confidence after his excellent start to the season.
In the qualifications, the two Beta riders could not find the right lap, and lost a lot of precious time due to traffic, Jeremy Van Horebeek ended his practice in 15th position and Clochet ranked 31st.
In race 1 Jeremy had some problems to find the ideal start at the lowering of the gate and lost a lot of time at the first corner, despite everything the Belgian rider was able to recover up to 15th place. Due to a technical problem Clochet was forced to retire.
The second manche saw Van Horebeek between the protagonist, thanks to a good start Jeremy arrived in the group of the best at the first corner. With a good race pace he closed with an exceptional eighth position.
Also the second manche was unlucky for Jimmy Clochet, who was again forced to retire after a stone got stuck in his chain.
Thanks to his results, Jeremy Van Horebeek and his Beta RX, ranked 11th Overall.
Next appointment with the 1st of two races in Maggiora (IT) next weekend for the SDM Beta Racing Team.
