Castiglione del Lago (PG), 31 Agosto 2025 – Dopo quasi tre mesi di pausa è ripreso con la quinta e penultima prova il campionato Italiano Pro Prestige, e lo ha fatto dalla storica pista umbra di Gioiella a Castiglione del Lago. In gara nella MX2 Julius Mikula che si è ripreso in tempo dopo la caduta di Arnhem.
E’ stato un week end a due facce. Il sabato, solitamente dedicato alle prove, è stato annullato dal maltempo. Le tante piogge cadute tra venerdì e sabato mattina unite ad altre piogge nel pomeriggio hanno costretto la direzione gara ad annullare tutto il programma e concentrare tutto alla domenica.
Domenica mattina si sono svolte le cronometrate su di un tracciato molto pesante, Julius ha chiuso con il secondo tempo del suo gruppo.
A fine mattinata si è disputata gara uno che ha visto Julius partire male e ritrovarsi oltre la top ten. Da li ha iniziato la sua rimonta che lo ha portato a raggiungere a suon di sorpassi la 3° posizione che ha mantenuto fino al traguardo.
La seconda manche è partita decisamente meglio anche se nel corso del primo giro Julius ha dovuto lottare per raggiungere prima la quarta e poi la 3° posizione che ha poi dovuto difendere per diversi giri dagli attacchi di Manucci. Dopo aver preso un distacco di sicurezza ha controllato fino al traguardo visto che i primi due erano scappati.

Con questi risultati Julius è salito sul 3° gradino del podio di giornata ed occupa la medesima posizione nella classifica di campionato Elite MX2 ad una prova dal termine.
L’ultima prova di questo campionato si disputerà ad Arco di Trento nel fine settimana del 27 e 28 Settembre.

JULIUS MIKULA: “Abbiamo avuto una grande tempesta di pioggia al sabato che ha fatto slittare tutto il programma alla domenica. La pista era super bagnata domenica mattina ed ho potuto fare un solo giro che mi ha assicurato il secondo tempo del mio gruppo. In gara uno che ho avuto un cattivo inizio e poi non sono riuscito a trovare il ritmo giusto non avendo un buon feeling con la pista, ho chiuso così in terza posizione. Nella seconda molto meglio l’inizio, ma i primi giri non ho guidato bene, quindi i due leader hanno messo il gap di 25 secondi su di me. Ho diminuito il distacco a 15 secondi ed ho chiuso ancora una volta terzo. Alla fine sono salito sul podio, proveremo a fare meglio nell’ultima tappa di campionato. Grazie come sempre a tutto il team”.

Castiglione del Lago (PG), 31 August 2025 – After almost three months of break, the Italian Pro Prestige championship processes, and he did it from the historic Umbrian jewel track in Castiglione del Lago.

At the end of the morning one was played by one who saw Julius leave badly and find himself beyond the top ten. From there he began his comeback that led him to reach the third position he kept up to the goal to the finish. The second heat started decidedly better even if during the first lap Julius had to fight to reach the fourth first and then the third position that he then had to defend for several laps from Manucci’s attacks. After taking a security detachment, he checked up to the finish since the first two had escaped.
With these results Julius climbed on the third step of the podium of the day and occupies the same position in the Elite MX2 championship ranking at a test from the end. The last test of this championship will take place in Arco di Trento on the weekend of 27 and 28 September.
Julius Mikula: “We had a great rain storm on Saturday that brought the whole program to Sunday. The track was super wet on Sunday morning and I was able to do only one tour that assured me the second half of my group. In the race someone I had a bad start and then I was unable to find the right pace not having a good feeling with the track, I closed so in third position. In the second much better the start, but I did not guide the first laps. Two leaders have put the 25 second gap on me. I decreased the detachment to 15 seconds and closed once again third. In the end I got on the podium, we will try to do better in the last stage of the championship. Thanks as always to the whole team “.
